Park Falls Public Library is a municipal public library established under Wisconsin Statutes Chapter 43 and funded by the City of Park Falls.  Additional funds for serving county residents are received from Price County through the Price County Library Service.

The Library Board of Trustees approves policies, develops a budget, controls appropriation expenditures, make personnel decisions, and hires a Library Director to administer the operation and services of the library.

Library Board members are appointed for staggered three year terms by the Mayor of Park Falls.  The composition of a Library Board is set under state statute.  It includes one member appointed by the chair of the Price County Board, a local school superintendent or his designee, a member of the Park Falls City Council, and citizen members from the City of Park Falls or (optionally) from surrounding Price County townships.

The Board of Trustees meets the second Tuesday of every other month (starting with January) at the Library.  Meeting agendas are posted at the Library and Park Falls City Hall.  Meeting dates are also listed on the calendar page of this site.  Library Board meetings are public meetings.  Anyone may attend in person or communicate suggestions or concerns to the Board by mail or calling the Library.

Park Falls Public Library is a member of the Price County Library Service, the Indianhead Federated Library System, and the MORE Library Automation Consortium.
